Our Gratitude

Director, CRRI is the angel who provided a roof to the ARRW from where the journey of ORYZA emerged and manifested to a robust hub of scientific communication on rice today. Think of the boundless expectations with which an Association was founded in the year 1961 could have ever created a niche for itself without the gestures and guidance of the Director, CRRI. The receiving comes naturally; the giving has to be learned. Over the years, as the ARRW grew into a reckoned and acknowledged matured body, it never forgot the abundant support extended by all respected Directors of CRRI over the years. In fact this is the brain child of former eminent Directors like Dr.R.H.Richaria and Dr. S.Y.Padmanabhan during 1961-76, the challenging yet the formative part of the ARRW. ‘What shall we return to them for all their bounty to ARRW’.

We have a full fledged office loaded with all possible logistics to function in this premier Institute. The Director enables in no small measure to periodically validate the journal with professional competency, wit and brevity of intelligence. His sustained positive attitude in producing higher beneficial resonance has reflected on the impact and importance of present international image of ORYZA as a referred journal on rice science.

Soon after the disaster after the super megacyclone in 1999, rehabilitation was gracefully given at the Kisan Bhavan to house and store the chronicles and marvelous treasure of ORYZA and its operating Head Quarter Office in the main building. It reminds us their unstinted support on clarity, viability, strengthening, scalability and competitive advantage that we enjoy today with a scholarly scoring of 4.0 by NAAS.

We owe our gratitude to Dr. T.K.Adhya, the present 16th Director of CRRI. The heart begins to beat before the brain is formed. The Members of the Association of Rice Research Workers thank him from the core of their hearts.
