Founded in the year 1961, the ‘ORYZA’ is an international journal on rice, published quarterly by the Association of Rice Research Workers (ARRW), Central Rice Research Institute, Cuttack 753006, Orissa, India. It intends to foster rice research for widening the horizons of rice science and to increase rice production and productivity. It is open to all the scientists engaged in rice research. One of the authors should be a Member of the Association. It publishes peer reviewed original research articles, short communications and review articles on all aspects of rice research, covering basic and applied work on crop improvement, crop management, crop protection, environmental security, extension programmes including rice based cropping system as well as rice based farming system research.
A substantial grant is obtained from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Krishi Bahavan, New Delhi for the publication of this journal ‘ORYZA’. Besides, periodically, the ARRW conducts National and International seminars to facilitate interaction on state of research amongst scientists, exchange of expert opinion and draw befitting recommendations on priority areas of research.
